• Richard Dailey , DVM

  
  

  Dr. Richard S. Dailey, who received his DVM from the Ohio State University in 1967, is the owner of the corporation.  Dr. Dailey established Pembroke Veterinary Clinic in Virginia Beach in 1973.  He purchased Sajo Farm Veterinary Hospital in Virginia Beach in 1994 and Great Bridge Veterinary Hospital in Chesapeake in 1996.  He has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Virginia Beach area for over 35 years.  He has been very active in the veterinary community during his career. He was an adjunct clinical instructor at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987-1988. Dr. Dailey served as president of the VVMA in 1988-1989 and has served on the Board of Directors of Tidewater Veterinary Associates.  He is highly skilled in orthopedics and cosmetic surgery.

• John Harvey , DVM

  
  

  Dr. John Harvey earned his B.S. in Biology at St. Lawrence University.  He also studied in Kenya and Montreal.  He received his DVM in 1990 from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation, Dr. Harvey practiced veterinary medicine and surgery for 11 years at a mixed animal veterinary hospital in Roanoke Rapids, NC.  In 2001, Dr. Harvey joined the team of Great Bridge Veterinary Hospital as the medical director. He has special interests in exotic patient care, senior pet wellness, dentistry, gastroenterology, dermatology, laser surgery and public health.

• Wendy Smithey , DVM, CCRP

  
  

  Dr. Wendy Smithey graduated in 1994 from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Nutrition. She then moved to Ireland and attended University College Dublin. She later returned to Virginia Tech and obtained her degree in veterinary medicine in 1999. She has a special interest in ultrasound imaging, preventative medicine, and exotic mammal medicine. Prior to joining the team at Great Bridge Veterinary Hospital in 2006, she practiced in both Virginia and North Carolina.

• Britt Cohen , DVM

  
  

  Dr. Britt Cohen received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University and received his DVM from Ross University in 2003. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Greater Peninsula Veterinary Medical Association, and the Virginia Academy of Small Animal Medicine. Dr Cohen practiced in Williamsburg, Virginia prior to joining the team at Great Bridge Veterinary Hospital in 2009. He enjoys all aspects of general practice but does have a special interest in orthopedic surgical procedures.
